It’s December now, which means we made it through November — a month with the emotional impact of a disastrous decade while vanishing at the speed of an exhaustive week.

Congratulations on surviving and continuing to do so. Here are some videos of various animals noshing on watermelon to celebrate!

Perhaps these critters have also reminded you of the joy of eating and how wonderful it is to indulge in delicious food, especially when it doesn’t break your wallet.

Luckily, the app inKind allows you to do exactly that.

inKind shows you restaurants in your area (that are part of the app), provides you deals for “exploring” said restaurants (such as $15 off an order of $45+) and gives you cash back (20% as of December 2, 2024) when you pay for an order using the app. The cash back bonus goes into your inKind wallet so it can be put toward a future restaurant visit and expires 2 months after the calendar month in which it was earned (for example, cash back that was earned on October 15, 2024 would expire on January 1, 2025).

When it comes to paying using the inKind app, simply inform your server or cashier that you would like to pay with inKind. The app instructs whether you need to plug in a check number or enter the amount of the bill in order to do so. You can link a payment card to be charged each time or add funds to your inKind wallet. Note that tip is always charged to your payment card on file rather than pulled from your inKind wallet.

If purchasing funds aka “inKind cash”, the app provides your bonus up front (such as if you pay $249, the app gives you $300 in your inKind wallet) rather than providing a cash back bonus when using the funds to pay a bill. The more you deposit, the higher the bonus offer. If you purchase inKind cash before 11:59 PM tonight (December 2, 2024), they’re offering even higher bonuses than usual for Cyber Monday.

Since getting the app a couple months ago, I’ve tried 7 different restaurants, saved $105, and earned $77.93 in bonuses/cash back. It’s made it easier to track what I spend on my culinary adventures and the discounts keep me within my dining budget even though I’m partaking in more restaurant escapades than I did pre-app.

Reasonably priced food just tastes better. Get out there and enjoy.
